Introduction
Upsite is excited to present our collaboration with Offsite Design, Hawkins, and Kobe Construction for the iconic Court Theatre in Christchurch, New Zealand. As a leading provider of drone photography, and video production for construction, we have worked closely with Hawkins to capture the pre-coordination process for the new home of the Court Theatre in downtown Christchurch.
About Offsite Design
Offsite Design adds value to this project by ensuring proper pre-construction coordination for the structural elements of the new Court Theatre. Offsite was responsible for coordinating the mass timber across structural trades while producing factory-ready models for CNC manufacture. The result was an efficient manufacture by Red Stag TimberLab off-site, and a smooth, streamlined installation on site by Kobe Construction. This process is known as Design for Manufacture and Assembly or DMFA.
Our Approach
Through our expertise in aerial photography and videography, we sought to showcase the grandeur and architectural beauty of the Court Theatre’s new home in the Performing Arts Precinct in Christchurch. Our HD camera-equipped drones allowed us to capture stunning aerial shots, highlighting the new theatre’s impressive facade and surrounding landscape.
